03/13/13 Tuesday morning police agencies from around the county were invited to Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth to see first-hand the brand new 2013 Ford Interceptors.  These new police vehicles were designed by police officers for officers.

John Oliver, General Manager and Steve Keyser, sales consultant for Oliver hosted the event that gave officers the opportunity to see, feel, hear and experience the first all-wheel drive pursuit vehicle ever made.  The Interceptors come as a utility vehicle or a sedan and features extreme officer protection including passing a 75 mph rear-crash test, air bag safety canopy and side air bags, the front seats are stab proof, they have skid-plate under-carriage coverage protecting the fuel tanks, transmission and drive train, and offer extra-large breaks and rotors.

The Ford Police Interceptors have several police inspired features including specially designed front seats to accommodate the utility belts officers wear and an array of steering-wheel switches for lights, sirens, speakers and other applications.

The three new Ford Interceptors on display Tuesday just arrived at Oliver Ford and were purchased by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.  Since these vehicles are only available to law enforcement there is a full range of LED lighting solution available from the factory and wiring for officers equipment.

Officers from Bremen, Culver, Plymouth, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and Indiana State Police took advantage of the Oliver’s officer to check-out the new Ford Interceptors and were even treated to lunch after the show.
