Sheriff’s Deputies Respond to Complaint of Underage Drinking, 5 Arrested

  08/20/13   On Friday, August 16th just before 10 p.m. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Lot #6 in the Maple Leaf Trailer Park located in the 3,000 block of Michigan Road.  The call was in reference to an underage drinking party.

The complainant also advised that they believed illegal drugs were being used as well.  

Arriving at the location Deputies Nick Laffoon, Jonathan Bryant and Les McFarland observed several people sitting inside a van with the doors open with one of the subjects rolling what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette.  Officers confiscated the substance that was believed to be marijuana and after a search discovered additional substance also believed to be marijuana. 

Arrested was 19 year old Ethan Wagers of Plymouth for Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams, 25 year old Andrew Oszuscik of Plymouth for Possession of Marijuana,18 year old Abigail Bradley for Illegal Possession of Alcohol and 25 year old William Freck for Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams. 

During the investigation a male subject that was a neighbor of Lot #6 kept walking over and getting involved with the investigation and was repeatedly told to return home and keep quiet.  40 year old Shawn Fansler of LaPaz refused to follow officer’s commands and was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. 

All five subjects were transported to the Marshall County jail where Ethan Wagers, Andrew Oszuscik and William Freck was booked on a $1,505 bond.  Abigail Bradley was booked on a $225 bond and Shawn Fansler was booked on a $505 bond.
