02/26/12 Scott Michel, Recreation Director with the Plymouth Park Department invites you to join in on a park trip to the Essenhaus Restaurant in Middlebury on Monday, March 18.

Das Dutchman Essenhaus is an ideal place to experience the time-honored tradition of sharing a meal together.  The owners and founders have worked diligently to create a pleasant surprise in Northern Indiana Amish Country.  You are welcome to pull up a chair and savor the authentic (generations-old) family recipes served since 1971.

Browse through the distinctive gift shops and stores filled with unique treasures, select your favorite treats in the bountiful bakery, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride or stroll down the paved walking paths.

After shopping you will enjoy a nice buffet lunch which cost around $14 per person.

The school bus will depart from the public pool at 9:30 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m.  The cost of the bus is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents. Stop by the park office to reserve your spot today, or call the park office at: 936-2876.
