08/22/13 People’s University is co-op of education, sponsored by Marshall County Council on Aging and many local businesses, libraries, and individuals, designed to offer Marshall County residents an opportunity to engage in lifelong learning.  The class schedule includes all kinds of subjects, from science and technology to the arts, history, health and fitness.  Classes are open to anyone interested, and have nominal fees, if any. Last year, People’s University offered over 100 classes, with approximately 300 students taking advantage of this unique learning opportunity.  Our Fall Semester runs from September 3 – October 31; registration begins August 20th at the Life Enrichment Center.

 

Returning favorites include:

Genealogy, Floral Design, Computer classes, Watercolors, Greeting Cards

Bread baking, Cheese making, and American Sign Language

And there are plenty of NEW classes to try:

            Making Pierced Earrings, Wine and Brushes, Authentic Italian Cantucci,

 Mobile Devices for Beginners, Crocheting, and

FLOTUS (First Ladies of the United States)
