12/11/13 The annual Plymouth High School “Christmas Spectacular” show will open on this weekend with shows on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.   This will be the first year that the show will be performed on two separate evenings.

The Christmas Spectacular is a holiday variety show including all of the performing ensembles in the high school music department.   The theme for this year’s show is “Christmas in the Tropics” and will feature entertaining music selections based on Caribbean themes.

Plymouth band director, Bryan Ames, said  “there will be a lot of fun twists on traditional and familiar holiday tunes such as Twas the Night Before Christmas on the Beach and Baby, It’s Hot Outside.  This show will not only show off the talents of the many students involved in the music programs at Plymouth, but will also provide great entertainment.  The entire production is based on a game show in which a contestant wins a free holiday trip to the Caribbean and the musical performances of each group take you on a journey into the rushed days before Christmas and packing for a long vacation.”

Tickets are available at the door for only five dollars per person (preschool and younger are free).  Tickets go on sale at 6:00 p.m. with the doors opening to the auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Join the Plymouth High School Music Department as they help start off the Christmas season with great music and entertainment at the fifth annual “Christmas Spectacular” production.
