02/07/13 Have you ever driven down the streets of Plymouth and wondered about an old house sitting there?  It’s old, but how old and who built it?  What about your own house, do you know its history?   If you have had some of these thoughts then maybe you should consider attending a FREE series at the Marshall County Museum.

Kurt Garner, President of the Wythougan Valley Preservation Council will present “Plymouth’s Historical Homes and Historic Neighborhoods” on Wednesday, February 20th at 7 p.m.  Kurt will lead a presentation of Plymouth’s architecture in the city’s historic neighborhoods and explain the benefits of the National Register Districts in Plymouth.  He will explore house styles and their histories.

The second presentation in the series is “House Detectives” with Todd Zeiger of Indiana Landmarks.  Discover the history of you house with a local expert.  Zeiger will show you where to look for information about hour house’s past.  He will identify shortcuts to finding the research that already exists and reveal tools that help focus you search on clues about your home’s heritage.

“House Detectives” will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at 7 p.m. at the Marshall County Museum.

This two part series is presented by the Wythougan Valley Preservation Council and is free to the public.
