04/26/1 On Wednesday, April 24th at approximately 11:40 P.M. Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and Argos and Bourbon Police Departments responded to the 7,000 block of 11A Road for a welfare check on a possible suicidal male subject.
The subject reportedly had made contact with a suicide hotline and expressed a desire to harm himself. Arriving at the location Deputy Travis O’Neal located a male subject inside a residence armed with a hand gun. There was a brief standoff which lasted approximately an hour. At that point the male subject exited the residence and laid down his weapon. The subject was transported by officers to a mental facility to receive treatment.
