08/28/13 Monday night quotes were opened on the list of repairs that Fire Chief Rod Miller wants to have completed at the firehouse during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.
Two local companies submitted quotes; Heritage Custom Builders owned by Tom and Tony McCan had a quote of $57,950 while Schoberg and Schoberg quoted $75,897.
The list of projects include painting throughout the living quarters and office areas, replacement of the ceiling tiles throughout the living quarters and office areas and new commercial grade carpet in the living quarters and office areas. Other improvements include new toilets in the EMS bunk bath areas, a new vanity and sinks in the EMS men’s bathroom, new valves and shower heads in the EMS men’s and women’s showers, a new drinking fountain and re-adjustment of the meeting room door.
The quotes were taken under advisement and are expected to be awarded at the first city meeting in September.
