In 5th Grade boys basketball action on Thursday night, the 5th Grade Riverside “A” team defeated Walkerton 24 – 6. It was a great team defensive effort. The boys limited Walkerton’s second chance points by doing a great job of blocking out. Jake Reichard led the way with 7 points. Jaret Brown was the Defensive Player of the Game.
In the “B” game, Collin Mills showed his leadership skills on the court. The Rockets won 34 – 6. Collin scored 4 points, but it was his tremendous defense and hustle that helped put the Rockets on his back. Matthew Janus added 10 points for the Rockets. Both teams will play next Thursday at Bremen.
