The PHS Girls Soccer team got a big win in the opening round of the Sectionals.   They defeated the CGA Lady Eagles 3-1.  CGA got on the board first with a goal by Allison Baker at 5:11 of the first half.   Plymouth didn’t answer until 24 minutes left in the game when Courtney Hersick scored to tie the game at 1-1.    She then struck again on a nice assist by Anna Bachman with 7:45 left in the half.

The Second half seen the only goal scored by Kayden Fosler  off a corner kick from Hersick making the score 3-1.  That score held for the remainder of the game.  Plymouth will now get ready for the Semi-Final round on Thursday against Northwood.

 

The 7th Grade Lincoln Football team continued their winning ways at Warsaw Lakeview Tuesday night, 30-8.  Lincoln faced an early 8-0 deficit after a long scoring drive by Warsaw to start the game.  After a quick interception thrown by the Lincoln offense, the defense managed to hold Tigers without points and the offense came alive.  In the first half Blake Reed ripped off two touchdown runs for the 14-8 halftime lead.  In the second half, a long pass from quarterback Cole Filson to Cam Dennie and a 1 yard touchdown plunge by Austen McMillan completed the scoring.  The the 7th grade is undefeated in conference play and close out their regular season Thursday night at Warsaw Lakeview.  Lincoln is now 7-2.

 

Lincoln Redstorm Cross Country ran their last home meet of the season last night against Lakeview.

The girls team won a strong race with great leaders capturing 1st-4th place. Lincoln scored 18 points; Lakeview had 38 points. Katelynn Carothers ran in at 11:39, Tia Freshour 12:45, Lexi Ramirez 13:04, Alyssa Solis 13:17.

The boys team lost a close race with Lincoln score 29; Lakeview score 27.  Shane Pursch placed 2nd overall with a time of 10:51, Jeffrey Oliver finished 4th overall in 10:59.

Both teams have done a great job this entire season, they will have the rest of the week serving as practice/training. The team has the last meet of the season this Saturday, Conference meet at Wawasee starting at 9am.

 

Last night the Lincoln Red Storm 8th grade team traveled to Wawassee.  The team lost the first game 25-21 but came back strong to win the next 2 games 25-12, 15-6.  The team is now 21 and 1 for the season.
