04/30/13 On Sunday, April 28th, Heartland Artist Gallery received over 75 pieces of art for their “Small Wonders Exhibit” which will open on Tuesday, April 30th. This is a judged show which many local artists have entered as well as artists from Michigan and Illinois. Mr. John Thomas, area artist and educator was the judge. The winners were as follows: Marilyn Kruger- Best of Show, Michielle Handshiew- 1st Place; Lisa Lea Bemish- 2nd Place and Louise Amundson- 3rd Place. Heartland Artist will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4-5 in conjunction with the Rotary Club Antique and Art Show. This coming Saturday , May 4th from 1 to 4 PM an Open House Reception will be held where artists will be showcasing the arts and the artists from the show will be there and available for questions. The reception is open to the public and we encourage all to attend.
