08/27/13 On Saturday, August 24th at approximately 1:55 p.m. the Marshall County Dispatch Center in the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a two vehicle accident on State Road 10 near the West County Line. Arriving on scene it was learned that 47 year old Gina Gaines of Plymouth was driving a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on State Road 10 as a part of a charity motorcycle event. As Gaines was entering into a curve she was struck from behind by 64 year old Arthur Bustamante of Plymouth who was driving a 2013 Victory motorcycle and also participating in the charity ride.
Gina Gaines was treated at the scene by Culver EMS and released. Mr. Bustamante and his passenger Cathy Keller of Plymouth were both transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for minor injuries sustained from the crash.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Culver Police Department and Culver Fire and EMS.
