10/28/13 The public is invited to attend the Marshall County Genealogical Society annual dinner and program featuring the documentary, “Everglades of the North, the Story of the Grand Kankakee Marsh,” on Friday, November 8th at 6 p.m. in the Marshall County Museum Conference Room. 

Enjoy a catered dinner of Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, dessert and beverages, and view the film that addresses what happened to the Kankakee marshlands when man interfered with nature and how it affected the ecosystem. 

Randy Ray, director of The Center for History, and Rick Ward, wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, will be on hand to respond to audience questions after the presentation. 

Tickets are $14 for the dinner and program can be purchased through October 30th at the Marshall County Museum at 123 North Michigan Street in Plymouth.  For more information call 574-936-2306.
