02/25/13 In fourth grade, students in Indiana study Indiana History as part of their curriculum.  This is the only year Indiana History is taught during their school years.

In association with Indiana History, “Little Hoosiers,” a club that is part of the Junior Historical Society is in place at Triton Elementary.  Although some schools don’t have a Junior Historical Society, they still offer the Little Hoosier club for their 4th graders.  The club meets monthly and does activities related to Indiana History.  Triton fourth graders have visited the one room schoolhouse that still stands in Marshall County and made butter like the pioneers use to do.
