01/24/13 Fifth grade students at Triton Elementary School created the 8 phases of the moon using 4 Oreo cookies. Teachers handed the 4 cookies to the students and told them they had to create the 8 phases of the moon; this made it a problem solving activity. This was after the class had already studied the phases of the moon.
Superintendent Donna Burroughs said, “This is my kind of test!”
