02/12/13 Triton Elementary had their annual Science Fair on Friday, February 1st, during school hours. They had approximately 90 Science projects from grades 4th through 6th. The judging of these projects came from Bethel College education students and Mr. Steve Jeffrey.

This year each student had to come up with their own “Big Question” and research and solve their question creating a project using the steps to the Scientific method.

Top projects in  sixth grade and Notre Dame regional qualifiers were: Jenna Swihart, Delanie Groves, Grant Eib, Kaitlyn Bailey, and Mary Yeo (alternate).  Fifth Grade winners (not pictured) are Russell Richard, Jared Bules, Alyxa Viers, Hannah Miles and Haley Hooley.  4th Grade winners (not pictured) are Lily Hubert, Trent Barnhart, Brandon Kitch, Joslyn Kuhn, and Lexia Hostrawser.

The teachers of Triton Elementary are very proud of all the student who took part in the Science Fair this year and hope they continue their dedication to the Sciences.

The students who participated in the Science Fair this year enjoyed an all you can eat Ice Cream Social afterwards to reward them for their hard work.

The Notre Dame Northern Indiana Regional Science Fair will take place on Saturday, March 2nd and start time is 7:45 A.M. We wish Good Luck to the Sixth Graders representing Triton Elementary School.
