10/03/13 With the installation of a new turf field underway, several changes have been made to the Culver Military Academy football schedule for the remainder of the season.
The final home varsity football game against Boone Grove on Friday, Oct. 11, has been moved to Valparaiso High School. Game time is set for 8 p.m. (EDT).
The last two home junior varsity football games will now be played at Culver Community High School. The Saturday, Oct. 5, game against Churubusco will start at 12:30 p.m. (EDT). The Saturday, Oct. 19, contest against Fairfield will kick off at 10 a.m. (EDT).
The new turf field is part of three-phase improvement program for Oliver Field. Other improvements are a new track in the summer of 2014 and stadium improvements, including new restrooms, team meeting rooms, concession area, and entrances.
The field will be used for football games in the fall and boys lacrosse games in the spring.
