03/07/13 On Sunday, March 3rd at approximately 11:15 a.m. Deputy Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Randolph Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail.
During the investigation Deputy Bryant recognized the passenger in the vehicle, 23 year old Joshua Ramirez of Walkerton who was known to have an active warrant for failure to appear. Ramirez was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle revealed a schedule IV narcotic belonging to the driver, 29 year old Jenny Ethington of South Bend which led to her arrest. Jenny Ethington was booked for possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a public park, a class C felony.
Both subjects was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held without bond
