Two Arrested During Traffic Stop

  03/07/13  On Sunday, March 3rd at approximately 11:15 a.m. Deputy Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Randolph Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail.

  During the investigation Deputy Bryant recognized the passenger in the vehicle, 23 year old Joshua Ramirez of Walkerton who was known to have an active warrant for failure to appear.  Ramirez was taken into custody.

  A search of the vehicle revealed a schedule IV narcotic belonging to the driver, 29 year old Jenny Ethington of South Bend which led to her arrest.  Jenny Ethington was booked for possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a public park, a class C felony.

Both subjects was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held without bond

    This comment was received from the suspect: i was arrested and charged with controlled substance i am a the caregiver to a terminally ill family member with aids i take care of my uncles finances and perscriptions and all around general care if your going to print malicious false and defamating statements of my character your going to have to recant your statements and the news is supposed to be bias lets see how neutral u are look into your stories before you print them one sided thank you your discruntled american stripped of her rights jenny ethington still incarcerated……………
