01/30/13  On Friday, January 25th at approximately 9:50 PM, Deputy Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a Ford, F150 for an equipment violation at the intersection of Jefferson and Polk streets.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as David Howe.  He had two passengers in the vehicle with him, 41 year old Jeffrey R. Knoebel of Grovertown and 35 year old Anissa Cruz-Beem of Monterey.

While running a check on the drivers’ licenses of all subjects for status and warrants Mr. Knoebel, fled on foot from the vehicle.  Deputy Bryant was able to chase down Knoebel and had to used his taser when Knoebel failed to comply to the officer’s orders.  The taser abruptly stopped Mr. Knoebel from resisting and it was discovered that he had a felony warrant out of Starke County.

Officer Bryant was give consent to search the vehicle and located methamphetamine belonging to Annissa Beem.

  Jeffrey Knoebel was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on resisting law enforcement and false informing charges and was booked in on a $5,005 bond.

  Anissa C. Beem was transported to the County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with a $3005 bond, possession of schedule III substance and possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia charges with a $3,005 bond.
