09/13/13 On Tuesday, September 10th at approximately 2:30 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer John Weir responded to the intersection of Pidco and Oak Drive for a two vehicle accident.
Arriving on the scene Officer Weir learned that 66 year old Lynita R. Pollock of Plymouth was driving a Dodge Neon southbound on Oak Drive entering into the intersection of Pidco Drive with a green light. As she attempted to make a left turn onto Pidco she pulled into the path of a Chevy Equinox driven by 30 year old Jennifer S. Berger of Plymouth who was north bound on Oak Drive with a green light.
Pollock told Officer Weir she saw a Jeep stopped at the intersection, facing her, waiting to make a left turn and saw no other vehicles. As she started to make her left turn she pulled in front of Berger. Pollock was unable to avoid the collision.
Lynita Pollock was transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for minor injuries sustained from the accident. Assisting at the scene was the Plymouth Police Department, Plymouth Fire and EMS, Bob’s Towing and Ran’s Towing.
