07/10/13 An update on the City Water Main Flushing Project.   The area for Wednesday July 10th will have city crew in the neighborhoods, east of South Michigan, south of Pennsylvania Avenue and north of the Webster School.

The Plymouth Water Department hydrant flushing of the water mains will continue for this month and next.   Water main flushing is used as an effort to maintain quality service to the customers of Plymouth.

Water department employees begin flushing mains at 6:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 4:00 p.m. every week day over the next two months.

Normally there should not be any discoloration in your water while this procedure is taking place.  In the rare instance that you should experience discoloration you are asked to run your cold water to flush the line.  If your water does not clear after 15-20 minutes or you have any question contact the Plymouth Water Department at 936-2543.
