07/11/13 Severe weather rolled through Plymouth just before noon and caused some major damage.

The biggest damage appears to be a couple of uprooted trees in the Park Jefferson apartment complex.  The extremely tall and large trees fell on one of the apartment buildings causing major damage to one of the units.  The tree crashed through the roof nearly going completely through it from back to front.

City employees were very busy cleaning up downed trees, limbs and branches.  The street department responded to 23 different locations around the city taking care of debris.

On South Michigan Street at the Trinity United Methodist Church a tree fell on the corner of the parsonage and a portion of a tree fell on the street blocking traffic for a short while.

City works wheedling chainsaws and using loaders and dump trucks were able to remove nearly all of the debris by the end of the day.

Around the city a portion of a tree fell on a car on Alexander Street and

on a house on Indiana Avenue.

Trees fell on power lines and telephone lines causing issues for a short time.

Many places in town also experienced street flooding.
