04/24/13The Marshall County Coroner’s Office is working with the Marshall County Police Department in an investigation where a woman took her own life in a church cemetery near Culver Tuesday afternoon. The Coroner’s Office said 56 year old Margurite C. Quimby of Claypool called the 911 Dispatch Center by cell phone stating her intentions to take her own life. Dispatchers were unable to recontact her and immediately sent officers to the Poplar Grove Church just east of Culver on State Road 10. Upon arrival, officers found Quimby’s body in the cemetary behind the church.
Marshall County Deputy Coroner Brigett Hite led the coroner’s investigation and said a note was found in Quimby’s car and information as to who to contact. Hite declined to disclose the information found in the note but said no foul play was suspected. The Marshall County Police Department assisted the Coroner’s Office with notification of family.
