10/02/13 The annual meeting of the Wythougan Valley Preservation Council, Inc. is scheduled for Friday, October 4th at 5:30 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League Clubhouse in Argos.  The clubhouse is located east of Argos on 16th Road, between Hawthorne and Hickory Roads, north of State Road 10.  The evening will include a chili supper, presentations of the Daniel McDonald Award for Preservation, and a program that will highlight several aspects of the clubhouse that was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  If you have ever wondered how the early conservation movement left its mark on Marshall County, or about New Deal-era projects, or the unique stonework in the Argos community, you will not want to miss this program.  Cost of the supper and program is $10.00 per person.  Proceeds will benefit the Argos Chapter of the Izaak Walton League and the Wythougan Fund of the Marshall County Community Foundation.   If you plan to attend, please call 574-936-0613.

Wythougan will also be hosting an open house at Summit School in Tippecanoe Township on October 5th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Please join us for fall refreshments and organ music at the one room schoolhouse located at the top of the hill on State Road 10, one mile east of State Road 331.
