In the interest of improving safety for all athletes, the start time for Friday night’s varsity football game at Rochester has been set back to 7:30.
The heat index temperature is predicted to be near 88 degrees but is expected to drop quickly after sunset. Moving the game back allows teams to take advantage of the cooler evening conditions, and will help reduce cramps and lessen the likelihood of heat related illness.
