Marshall_County MuseumThe Marshall County Museum staff is proud to announce that the Marshall County Historical Society has been chosen for the 2014 Outstanding Historical Organization Award.
Executive Director Linda Rippy, Historical Society President Mike Miley, and others will be traveling to the Founders Day Dinner at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in Indianapolis to receive the award in early December.
This award is a reflection of tremendous community support through the efforts of the Historical Society Trustees, members, volunteers and staff. Critical to the success of the Historical Society is the unflagging support of the Marshall County Commissioners and the County Council, whose involvement dates to the beginning of the Society in 1958, when the museum first opened in a house on Garro Street.
The Outstanding Historical Organization Award is presented to a local or county historical society, organization or site in Indiana which has demonstrated remarkable public services and programs to the community.
