Dave Lewallen, Marshall County REMC’s Member Services Manager said Wednesday evening, “Currently we are down to around 300 members still without power. We are hoping to have everyone restored by Thursday night with the exception of those members who will need an electrician before we can reconnect them.”
Tuesday morning, shortly after the storm rolled through the area Marshall County REMC had roughly 3,500 members without power. A large portion of the outages were due to transmission provider outages. Marshall County REMC crews reported numerous trees down thru the power lines as well as broken poles.
Crews immediately set out to assess the extent of damage and have been working overtime to get power restored to REMC members.
