On Wednesday October 8, at approximately 1:40 a.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation at US 30 and US 31. It was determined that the driver, 30 year old Jerald Standifer of Bremen was driving on a suspended ID card only.
During the traffic stop items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine were located in the vehicle. The passengers,
21 year old Caleb Z. Hollett of Argos,
18 year old Ethan S. Hollett of Argos, and
21 year old Samantha E. Personette of Argos were arrested. All four subjects were booked into the Marshall County Jail for Dealing/Delivering/Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Possession of Precursors. Bond is pending Judicial Review.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
