MugShot_Diane BraaschAt 3:40 P.M. on Wednesday, November 5th a caller contacted the Plymouth Police Department and advised that a 16 year old female had been approached by 52 year old Diane L. Braasch of Berkley Street in Plymouth asking if she would want to purchase some prescription pills from her. The caller advised that Braasch was sitting on a bench in the park west of Plymouth High School on Randolph Street.

During the investigation Plymouth Police Officer Jeremy Enyart discovered that Braasch possessed a zip up case containing several scheduled II and III narcotics without a prescription and marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All of the items were sitting on the bench next to her when Officer Enyart approached her.
Braasch was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on preliminary charges of possession of a schedule II or III with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school or park and possession of marijuana and was held on a $3,005 bond.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
