On Tuesday June 17th at approximately 11:10 P.M. a female made contact with the Marshall County Sheriffs Dept. to report a domestic dispute between her and her husband. The male subject allegedly threatened the female with a firearm in the presence of a child.
Shortly thereafter officers made contact with the male party who admitted to possessing a toy firearm. The male, 46 year old David A. Tanner was then arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail. He was charged with Intimidation with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of July 22, 2014 was set for Superior Court #2.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
