On Wednesday, the “Drew’s Gift of Music Foundation” donated a 100 year old antique piano to the Plymouth High School band department. The piano was completely refinished and rebuilt and will make a wonderful addition to the music department.
The piano was donated to Drew’s Gift by a family in Culver.
The “Drew’s Gift of Music Foundation” was founded by the family of Drew Shearin. Drew was a talented young musician in the Knox band program that passed away in a car accident a few years ago. His family has carried on Drew’s love of music by creating the foundation to provide musical instruments to schools and needy families in our area.
The band program would like to thank Deb Johnson (Drew’s mother) and the Drew’s Gift foundation for their support.
