Plymouth AirportThe Plymouth Board of Aviation Commissioners has authorized Airport Manager Dave Lattimer to identify scrap firewood on the Plymouth Municipal Airport property at 301 Airport Road in Plymouth. The scrap firewood is being made available to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis, at no cost.

The airport board recently sold standing timber on the property to a logging contractor. The scrap firewood is the remains of the trees that the logging contractor has left behind and which can be found as it lies in the woods surrounding the Plymouth Municipal Airport.

It is a benefit to the airport to have the scrap firewood removed from the property, and since it is considered scrap, and worthless property Indiana Code allows for the board to transfer it to the public without the need to advertise.

Anyone wishing to obtain the free scrap firewood should contact Airport Manager, Dave Lattimer to receive the required liability release and agreement and to schedule a mutually convenient time to remove the scrap firewood from the property.

The Plymouth Municipal Airport is open on Monday and Tuesday, December 1st and 2nd from noon until 6 p.m. and then starting on December 3rd from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. You may call the airport for more information at 935-5152.
