Riverside’s fifth-grade Project Based Learning team has been studying the American Revolution.

Student groups wrote skits for the important events in the Revolution.  They created props, sets and scripts. The students acted, were responsible for backstage efforts, sang songs and played their recorders.  The entire production was created by the students and it was both educational and entertaining.  It was a perfect example of students taking charge and ownership of their learning, a key element of project-based learning.
