Dr. Ken Zirkle, President of Ancilla College announced the 2nd annual Changing Lives Scholarship dinner on Thursday morning.
Ancilla is Indiana’s only private two-year college and Ancilla has the most affordable private college tuition in the State of Indiana.
Zirkle gave a few student financial aid facts of interest. Ninety percent of Ancilla’s students received some form of financial aid in 2014. Forty-three percent of their full-time students have a 0 EFC. That means according to the federal formula they can’t afford to pay anything toward tuition and fees at Ancilla. Sixty-six percent of their full-time students have an EFC of less than $5,000. This means that they qualify for full pell and during the past four years there has been a forty percent reduction in funds available from the State of Indiana for Ancilla students.
Dr. Zirkle invites all members of the community to join them at the Swan Lake Resort and Conference Center on Friday, November 7th. He said, “I can promise you an evening that will be very enjoyable.” The social hour and dinner will be provided by Chef Zack Lucchese followed by silent and live auctions.
