Arrests at Wal-Mart for Shoplifting

August 7, 2014

Wednesday evening Plymouth Police Officer Jeremy Enyart responded to Wal-Mart Wednesday evening about 8:15 for a male subject caught stealing items from the store by their Asset Protection personnel. 18 year old Jordan Gaines of 8A Road was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a charge of theft. His bond was set at $755 cash and he was given a September 9th date for his initial hearing in Marshall Superior Court II.
Thursday morning just after midnight Wal-Mart’s Asset Protection personnel observed 44 year old Bonnie S. Jones of Peyton, CO conceal items and not paying for them. Officer Paul Stamper took Jones into custody and transported her to the County Jail and lodged her for theft.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
