Sheriff's Star BadgeMarshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the August Activity Report.

The Top Ten offenses for citizens being booked into the Marshall County Jail were number 10 Public Intoxication, number 9 Domestic Battery, 8th Probation Violation, 7th Battery and 6th Marijuana. The top five reasons are fifth – Theft, 4th was Failure to Appear, 3rd was Driving While Suspended, 2nd was Operator Never Licensed and the number one reason in August 2014 was Operating While Intoxicated.

There were a total of 163 jail bookings last month with Bourbon Police arresting 3, Bremen officer arresting 18, Culver police arresting 1, State Police Troopers arresting 9, Plymouth Police officers arresting 49 and County Police Officers arresting 73.

County Police Officers investigated 57 accidents in August. 43 were property damage, 13 involved personal injury and 1 was a fatal.

County officer took 85 case reports and wrote 165 citations.
