An autopsy performed today on the remains of a young woman found near Bremen Friday has provided a positive identification. The victim was positively identified as 15-year-old Desirae Ann Kathryn Jones from Bremen.
The primary cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.
A walker discovered Jones’ body just off Fifth Road between Hawthorn and Grape.
WTCA AM 1050 spoke with Sheriff Tom Chamberlin last Friday, and he explained that the area, commonly referred to as Little Egypt, is a common hangout for teens and is often used for parking and drinking.
The town of Bremen has organized a candlelight vigil at the Bremen Church of God, set to begin at 7 p.m.
