Blueberries_veteransThe blueberry that was painted in the park during the Marshall County Blueberry Festival is completed! This blueberry pays tribute to the ones we owe so much to; Veterans, Active Soldiers and First Responders. This blueberry will be unveiled on Wednesday, Oct. 15th at 3:30 p.m. in front of the Marshall County Historical Museum in downtown Plymouth. The timing of this reveal is not a coincidence … it is timed to coincide with the Open House for the Community to see the “Video interviews with Marshall County Veterans from the front lines to the home front”.

This will happen just before the Reveal of the “Living History” Exhibit – Recording the American Perspective at the Museum from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The community will be able to Meet & Greet and celebrate with local veterans as they witness first-hand the premier of the video exhibit.

Artist Steve Weaver, resident of Bourbon and a Heartland Artists Gallery Member, put his passion into every brushstroke that represents our respect for these heroes who have served, are now serving and continue to serve their community and country. Each blueberry that has been revealed in our community has had its own message. This one tells its own story of respect, honor and thanks to those who ‘Serve’!

This is the 10th Blueberry in Marshall County to be painted, and there are two more to be revealed on the SJRMC Campus.
