BourbonPoliceOn Friday, July 25th at approximately 1:50 A.M. Officer Matt Geiger with the Bourbon Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a red Pontiac Sunfire for traveling 71 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on State Road 331 near 11th Road.
The driver, 34 year old Carlos Lopez Ramos of Warsaw was found to have never been licensed. Mr. Ramos was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $250 bond. He was released later Friday after posting bond and was given an August 26th Superior Court II date for his initial hearing.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
