Bremen_PoliceBremen Police Chief Matt Hassel released detail on his department’s activity for September 19th through the 25th.

Bremen police officers issued only 1 traffic citation and 1 traffic warning. They also issued a total of 5 ordinance violations.

Bremen Police investigated two crashes, one at State Road 106 West and State Road 331 which was property damage and in the 300 block of North Jackson Street for another property damage crash.

Bremen officers arrested four individual between September 19th and the 25th; Shelly K. Harner of Bremen for dealing in a controlled substance, Beverly J. Little of Bremen for dealing in a controlled substance, Elizabeth Rectenwal of South Bend for failure to appear on a warrant from Marshall County and Richard Rice of Benton Harbor for public intox, disorderly conduct and invasion of privacy.

Bremen Police assisted at 6 fire calls; on the 19th at 390 2B Road for a possible drowning. September 20th there was a transformer on fire about a half mile north of 3460 Elm Road and on the 23rd to a personal injury accident at US 6 and Miami. On September 23rd it was a mutual aid response to the landfill and also an assist to St. Joseph County for an accident at Dogwood north of Riley Road. The final call for Bremen PD was on the 23rd for a fire alarm at Betterway Products at 3659 Destiny Drive although this call was disregarded.
