02/18/14  On Saturday, February 14th Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer initiated a traffic stop in the 1400 block of North Michigan Street for a seat belt violation.  During the traffic stop it was found that the driver, 27 year old Krista L. Bristow of Plymouth was wanted on an active warrant through Marshall County for Failure to Appear for court cost and fines.  It was also discovered that Bristow was operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for the Failure to Appear Warrant for Court Costs and Fines.  Her first bond for failure to appear costs and fines was set at $196.00 and the bond for Operating a Vehicle without a Valid License was set at $500.00.  Bristow was released the next day after posting bond and received a Superior Court II Court date of March 25th to appear for her initial hearing.


Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
