PHS_Health Occupations_BlanketsStudents in Plymouth High School’s Health Careers Program are making and selling Breast Cancer Awareness blankets for $30.

Health Careers is a vocational program taught by Ms. Jona Cartwright, RN, who teaches beginning Health Careers and Medical Terminology. Ms. Kathy Berg, RN teaches C.N.A.
The program is made up of students from Plymouth High School, but also Argos, John Glenn and Triton High Schools.

The class is hoping to sell 120 blankets, on a first come first served basis. Blankets will be sold until all blankets are gone.
Ounce of Prevention provided the materials to make the blankets. The local organization’s focus is to increase breast cancer awareness and support systems, which raises funds through fundraising events such as this blanket sale. Co-founded by Jennifer Houin and Jessica Oliver, Ounce of Prevention’s impact is dependent upon the various events throughout the year and the many volunteers who help pull them together.

Please contact Jona Cartwright, any Health Careers student, or Oliver Ford to purchase and pick up a blanket!
