CHICAGO, IL – The Ancilla College men’s basketball team won their second straight game by travelling to Truman College to defeat the Falcons 94-77.

Ancilla (8-4) trailed Truman (2-13) 40-39 at the half but came up with a big second half behind 57.5% shooting from the field to come away with the victory.

Eric Waddell finished with a double-double, scoring 24 points and dishing out 11 assists. Mike Wickliff led the Chargers in scoring (25 points) and rebounds (7). Juwan Johnson ended the game with 17 points and five rebounds, while Tque Smith added seven points and seven assists.

“Truman came out and played very well in the first half,” commented Ancilla coach Aaron Butcher. “I thought we settled early and didn’t do a very good job of attacking their zone. In the second half, we were much more assertive and were able to get things going.”

Ancilla hosts Midwest Elite Prep on Wednesday, December 17. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in Ancilla’s final non-conference game of the season and their last game of 2014.
