PLYMOUTH, IN – The Ancilla College men’s basketball team beat St. Francis JV 95-76, getting contributions from multiple players in the outcome.

Shooting just under 50% in the first half (20-41), the host Chargers (4-2) took a 48-33 into the second half, outscoring the Cougars 47-43 in the last twenty minutes to come away with the victory.

Leading Ancilla, Eric Waddell dropped in 20 points while dishing out six assists and Juwan Johnson scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Other double digit contributors included Travon Brackett (15 points), Mike Wickliff (14 points), and Everett Norman (11 points). Norman and Wickliff also had big rebounding nights, coming up with eight and seven respectively. Tque Smith pulled down six rebounds and finished with four assists in the game.

“We didn’t shoot well from the perimeter tonight and our defense wasn’t as sharp as it needs to be, but we were able to get the win,” mentioned Ancilla coach Aaron Butcher.

Ancilla hosts Bethel College’s JV tonight at the LifePlex in Plymouth, with game time set for 7:00 p.m.
