PlymouthAirportMonday evening the Plymouth City Council conducted a public hearing to appropriate $2.5 million for the Aviation Fund. There were no public comments.

The money represents $2.3 million from a FAA grant and $126,000 from the state and $126,000.

The funds appropriated are for the reconstruction of the runway and the runway widening project from 60 feet to 75 feet.

The resolution to approve the appropriation was passed unanimously by the City Council.

In other business Mayor Mark Senter announced the appointment of George Schricker to replace Brent Martin who recently resigned from the Downtown Revitalization because of a job relocation. Melissa Christiansen was appointed to replace Dan Tyree who resigned from the Downtown Revitalization Board earlier this month.
