01/02/14  On Friday, December 27th at 9:53 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Jeremy Enyart was dispatched to 624 Pennsylvania Avenue in reference to a domestic battery between a male and female. The caller told 9-1-1 dispatch that the male had been cut by the female with a sharp object.  Arriving at the home and conducting an investigation it was alleged that 23 year old Megan L. Masterson of Lakeville had cut the chest and right arm of 27 year old Nathan A. Silva who resided at the residence with a disposable razor.  Masterson stated that Nathan Silva had pushed her before she had cut him. Megan Masterson was taken into custody for domestic battery with a deadly weapon and was transported to the Marshall County Jail.  She was held on a $1,505 cash bond and released on the 29th after posting bond.  Masterson is scheduled to appear in Superior Court II on January 28th.  Nathan Silva was given a citation to appear in Superior Court II on January 28th.

On Monday, December 30th at 4:15 p.m. the Plymouth Police Department received a call from Goody’s Department Store located at 2009 North Michigan Street.  The call was advising of an employee that had stolen some items from the store.  Officer Bridget Hite responded to the store and arrested 18 year old Emily R. Sarber of Plymouth.  She was transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was held on theft charges and booked on a $3,005 bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
