The Marshall County Commissioners have a busy agenda for their meeting today.
USI will appear at 8:30 and the discussion will be on the major erosion issue that has developed under the East Jefferson Street Bridge over the Yellow River. While preparing to place the Metronet conduit on the side of the bridge, it was discovered that there was a deep eroded area under the driving surface on the northwest corner of the bridge apron.
Bart Trester from USI will update the commissioners on the 7th Road extension project and the Metronet conduit installation project.
Clyde Avery, County EMA Director is scheduled for 8:50 and will seek approval of a grant application.
Ward Byers, Director of Court Services will present a contract for employment for services in his department while Stacy Richer will ask the county to vacate a street on county owned property.
Other agenda items include the highway report, county attorney report, county auditor’s report including the October claims, pay schedule and holiday schedule for 2015.
The commissioner’s meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are welcome.
