For 135 years a notable funeral home has continually served Plymouth and Marshall County. Randy and Eleanor Danielson are the sixth family to now steward this establishment. They announce a major renovation completion at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home on North Michigan Street, now at its third location, that will culminate in a community open house on Sunday, August 3.
Changes and improvements to ‘the gathering place to celebrate life’ include: a new entryway from the parking lot, a larger foyer and gathering space, interior handicap ramp, two new handicap accessible restrooms, an Arrangement Conference Room, and main floor Gathering Place and Coffee Lounge.
Co-owner and director Randy Danielson stated, “This could not have been accomplished over the course of this past year without the patience and understanding of our staff, the families we served, and their guests during construction efforts. We serve a great community and the words of support we received during this period remain an encouragement today. We also extend many thanks to the contributors for their professional guidance and expertise that has provided for such an uplifting space to celebrate lives.”
To properly thank the community for its patience and support as well as all the suppliers, the Danielson Family and Staff will conduct tours until 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 3rd, after the Blessing and Ribbon Cutting at 1:00 pm. In addition, there will be a demonstration by Family Advisor by Aurora Casket Company, a private website for each family that helps prepare for the arrangement appointment, a Celebration Tree give away, and refreshments will be served.
