PLYMOUTH  – Construction on the road that will be the Plymouth interchange for the new U.S. 31 continues to move forward at full speed.

Bart Trester of USI – consultant on the project for the county – told the Marshall County Commissioners that construction is already moving forward and reported to the Commissioners that contractors on the project hope to finish the road in one construction season.

If variables such as the weather cooperate motorists could be using the new road by fall.

County Attorney Jim Clevenger said that right of way acquisition for the road continues. While the road property is secured final legal work continues with a hang up now with seller ITAMCO on the clarification of one of the exhibits in the final descriptions of the property and project.
