Gibson_Street_parking_1Parking for visitors at Lincoln Junior High has become an issue according to Superintendent of Plymouth Schools, Day Tyree.

During Monday evening’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting Councilman Shawn Grobe said he had talked with Tyree who expressed his concern for parking in front of the main entrance at the circle drive of the junior high on Gibson Street.

Gibson_Street_parking_2Apparently there had been an issue with all day, on street parking in front of the school’s administration building on Berkley Street. The city places 2-hour parking signs along the street and the problem went away. Tyree suggested something similar to Councilman Grobe that would like to limit parking between the two drives of the circle drive to two hours during school days from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Gibson_street_parking_3Tyree will fill out a request form and council members will have the opportunity to visit the site on several occasions before making a determination at their September 22nd meeting.
